BOFP Applications Now Open as Fellowship Celebrates 10 Years
The Brooke Owens Fellowship Program (BOFP) is now accepting applications for its 2027 class. Students selected into the program will be welcomed as the 11th group of Fellows to represent the BOFP, highlighting more than a decade of positive impact in the aerospace industry.

The application is open from Tuesday, Sept. 1 to Sunday, Oct. 4, and is available to women and gender minority undergraduate students of all college majors who are interested in pursuing careers in aerospace and aviation. Accepted Fellows will participate in a summer internship at a host company, receive one-on-one mentorship from professionals in their field of interest, and attend a professional development summit with all Fellows in their class.
“We first started this program as a way to honor a friend and to help identify and train a new wave of aerospace leaders who could embody the same traits we loved in her," said co-founder Will Pomerantz. "It has grown to so much more than we could have possibly imagined. I've lost track of how many times we've heard that one of our Fellows has been the best intern in years at a great aerospace company. On top of their technical skills, the Fellows have off-the-charts creativity and commitment to service. I can't wait to see the incredible students and young professionals that will make up our eleventh class."
Since its founding, the BOFP has accepted 418 undergraduate students from nearly 40 U.S. states and territories, and 10 countries. To date, 124 companies have hosted Brookies for their summer internships, and 105 mentors have stepped up to guide the students in their early careers.

I’ve had the privilege of watching each new class bring their own talent, ambition, and perspective to the community. The impact of our alumni across aerospace is remarkable, and I’m excited to see what the next ten years will bring."
