Cassie is the Vice President of Business Development at Star Catcher, the company building the first power grid for space. Prior to this role, she founded several programs at the intersection of technology and impact, including Space Programs for Paul G. Allen's Vulcan, Climate Intelligence for Lockheed Martin, Sound Future, and Innovation at the Open Geospatial Consortium. Cassie began her career as an aerospace engineer with roles at NASA, SpaceX, and Sierra Nevada Corporation. Cassie continues to serve as an advisor to Sound Future, PLACE, Art for Action Foundation, Bye Aerospace, and eFusionX. She was named a Top 25 Most Powerful Woman in Business by the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce and as an Honored Alumnus from the University of Iowa. As part of her academic contributions, she designed and taught a graduate-level course for the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences. In addition to co-founding the Brooke Owens Fellowship, Cassie was an inaugural member of the United Nations Space4Women initiative.
