Chris DeMay

Mr. Chris DeMay is Founder and Chief Operating Officer of TrustPoint, a NewSpace technology startup founded in 2020. TrustPoint is developing a fully commercial next-generation GPS system to provide significant performance, security and reliability improvements for GPS users.

Prior, he was Founder, COO and CTO of HawkEye 360, the RF analytics company and first to launch commercial satellites to identify and geolocate a wide-range of signals. Under his leadership, HawkEye 360 raised over $100M and was named the 2019 SpaceNews Startup of the Year. Mr. DeMay previously served for fourteen years in various leadership positions within the National Security Agency (NSA) including as Director of the Non-Traditional SIGINT Program Office (NSPO) at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) where he was responsible for the execution of budget, schedule, and performance of space-based technology development projects totaling more than $500 million.

Mr. DeMay is a member of the AFCEA Intelligence Committee, the INSA Technology and Innovation Council, the USGIF's Commercial GEOINT Working Group, and serves as a Mentor for Techstars Starburst Space Program. Mr. DeMay was named a 2019 Washingtonian's Tech Titan and a 2016 USGIF GEOINT Golden Ticket winner; he is the proud recipient of the AFCEA’s 40 Under 40 Award, the NRO Gold Medal of Distinguished Performance, and the Frank Beamer Award for Exceptional Service. Mr. DeMay is a Project Management Professional (PMP), member of Mensa, and has an MS in Systems Engineering and a BS in Business Information Technology, both from Virginia Tech.
