  • University of Missouri - Columbia, Journalism, ‘24

  • Host Institution: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center

Tayler is a junior studying journalism and pursuing a minor in Spanish at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She is from Moline, IL, a city a part of the Quad Cities, but recently moved from Columbia, MO to Virginia. She is excited to return to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center this summer. Her interest in writing about space and earth science began in her youth through camping, stargazing and growing up in a neighborhood surrounded by wildlife and plants. Later on, her relationship with Jesus sparked the idea to write about the intricacy of God's beautiful creation.

Outside of class, she enjoys reading the Bible, hiking, kayaking and canoeing, camping and being surrounded by her loving and encouraging friends at Bible study.

She got her first dose of professional writing about space innovations during her internship with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in the spring of 2023.

She is eager to build relationships with other Brookies, motivate one another and grow in her science-writing skills at Goddard throughout the Brooke Owens Fellowship!
