Zariah Orr is a 4th year student, double majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Physics with a minor in Mathematics. While maintaining an on-campus job, she is involved in numerous extracurriculars at The University of Alabama like UA Space (CubeSat), Alabama Astrobotics, and Alabama Rocketry Association. Through these organizations, she has gained invaluable knowledge and experience while working within Flight Software (UA Space), Skills (ARA), and Mechanical (Astrobotics) Subteams. Additionally, she shows leadership by taking on the role of Second Vice President of Collegiate 100. C100 also allows her to become involved in the community by mentoring at local schools and advocating the motto “What they see is what they’ll be”. She is also in numerous honor societies such as Sigma Gamma Tau. As well as, professional development clubs like NSBE and Society of Physics Students (SPS).

Currently throughout her career, the Brooke Owens Fellowship is her proudest moment and best accomplishment. She is excited to take on her first internship at ULA and hopes to have the best experiences in the upcoming summer. Her passion and curiosity about space and the universe that surrounds her is what continues to motivate her to reach her goals and dreams. She has always been in love with space as she was given her first telescope at the age of 8; and she discovered her love for physics during her senior year of high school.

In her spare time, she loves to play instruments (keyboard, guitar, drums, trombone, ukulele), write songs, go to the gym, customize shoes, and watch/read Harry Potter. She has dreams to start up a small sneaker & lego customs business before graduating. She would like to thank her family, friends, supporters, and the Brooke Owens Fellowship for their huge impact on her journey. She would like to give all glory to God and Roll Tide!
