Christine Ohenzuwa is a second year undergraduate at Princeton University majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with concentrations in Robotics and Intelligent Systems and Applications in Computing. Her areas of interest include fluid mechanics, spacecraft design and embedded systems.

From a young age, Christine had a knack for tinkering. She enjoyed discovering how objects worked and how they interacted with the world. Her love for tinkering blossomed into an interest in STEM in high school. With the help of robotics, summer engineering programs and research opportunities, her general interest in STEM crystallized into a passion for aerospace engineering. Christine was captivated with the potential for developing cutting edge solutions to real-world problems and interdisciplinary research encapsulated within the aerospace field. She is also excited by the prospects of space exploration, not only for its scientific and technological merits, but also for its ability to foster unity and comradeship on a global scale.

At Princeton, Christine is a committee leader in SPEAR, a student organization dedicated to prison education and reform. As a part of SPEAR, she has helped organize events both on campus and virtually, as well as fostered interaction between grassroots organizations and students. Christine is also a co-founder of PWAA, Princeton’s WOAA chapter. Through PWAA, Christine hopes to help foster an environment that both encourages women and gender minorities to consider a career in aerospace, and empowers them to attain their career goals.

As a Brooke Owens Fellow, Christine is excited to intern at Virgin Galactic in Summer 2021.
